Dover Insights Counselling.
An integrative approach
My integrative approach allows me to tailor therapy to your individual needs, preferences, and goals. Person-centred values are at the heart of my work, including empathy, acceptance, and unconditional positive regard. Drawing on 16 years of professional experience, I bring knowledge of a range of therapeutic approaches, helping us work together in a way that feels meaningful, supportive, and right for you.
Special Interests
Neurodivergent, shifting the focus from "Disorder" to "Difference."
Neurodivergence is an area I hold close to my heart, both personally and professionally. I bring a lifetime of personal experience, even before I fully understood it myself, alongside more than 20 years of professional experience supporting neurodivergent individuals. I offer neuro-affirming therapy that recognises and respects different ways of thinking, feeling, and processing the world. My approach celebrates difference while also offering compassionate support for the challenges that can come with it.
My passion for this area of my work means I am continually developing my training, deepening my knowledge, and listening to the lived experiences of the neurodivergent community so that the support I offer remains thoughtful, informed, and responsive.
All neurotypes are welcome here, including AuDHD, autism, ADHD, PDA, and sensory processing differences.
The Theraputic Relationship
The therapeutic relationship is unique and shaped by the qualities, experiences, and connection between both client and counsellor. Just as in life, we do not always feel the right connection with everyone, even when we want to. Finding the right counsellor is an important part of your journey, which is why I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation. This gives you the opportunity to meet me, ask any questions, and make an informed decision about whether I am the right counsellor for you.

Therapy Options
I offer a range of flexible therapy options to suit your individual needs and circumstances. Sessions are available face to face in a relaxed, safe, and welcoming space. Walk and talk therapy provides the added benefits of being outdoors in nature and green open spaces, which can support wellbeing. Online counselling is available via Teams or Zoom for those who prefer the convenience of remote sessions. Telephone counselling may also suit those who feel more comfortable speaking without meeting in person. In addition, I can offer home visits for clients who are housebound, subject to assessment and an additional fee to cover travel and time.
Therapy does not have to follow a fixed format. I offer a flexible approach and can adapt the way we work together as your needs change over time.
